The Wesleyan Athletics Department is starting a new "Player of the Week" program that highlights hard-working players and team members nominated by our athletic coaches each week.
This week's Wesleyan Athlete of the Week is Audrey Mecklenburg. Audrey is a sophomore student with the Equestrian team. This past week, Audrey competed with the team at the University of South Carolina. During this competition, Audrey placed in 4th, 6th, and 6th in three events. This is a huge accomplishment for Audrey as it was her first time competing in an IHSA show for fence competition and only her second time competing at an IHSA Hunt Seat competition.
