Senior Spotlight: Caty Hogeland

MACON, Ga - The Athletic Department sends best wishes and healing thoughts to our athletes and their families during this unusual time. We miss our Wolves and look forward to seeing you soon! In an effort to highlight our stellar senior athletes, every Wednesday we will share a Senior Spotlight, to celebrate and honor their accomplishments and future plans.

Our first Senior Spotlight is Catherenne (Caty) Hogeland. A psychology major from Fayetteville, GA, Caty is looking forward to pursuing a graduate degree from Chatham University in Pittsburgh, PA.

Caty has been a member of Wesleyan's equestrian team for four years. She has competed in the IHSA Hunt Seat and Western Seat disciplines. This year, Caty qualified to compete in the Individual Lower Training at the 2020 Intercollegiate Dressage Association (IDA) National Championship. Caty qualified after two shows, placing 1st and 2nd in November and 2nd and 3rd in February. This past year was Wesleyan's first year competing in the IDA.

Wesleyan Head Equestrian Coach Catherine Baker said, "I am so proud of our IDA Team for taking on a new discipline and doing an outstanding job in their first year of dressage.
