The first installment of the Alumni Spotlight will shine on 2018 graduate Valerie Navikas (Clower). Valerie attended Wesleyan from Fall of 2014 through the Spring of 2018. She majored in biology and minored in studio art. Valeria was a four year starter for the softball team as pitcher and occasionally at first base.
When asked about her favorite memory of being a student athlete at Wesleyan, Valerie said, "Probably a favorite memory of my time on the field was turning a triple play against Angus Scott my junior year."
Valerie is using her degree from Wesleyan to serve as a Pre-K teacher at the Academy of Science and Foreign Language in Huntsville Alabama. She was married on June 13 of this year. Her, along with her new husband, are currently building their savings to purchase their first house.
