Wesleyan Equestrian Points Up Two Riders at Clemson Show

Clemson, SC - The Wesleyan College IHSA hunt seat team competed at Clemson University over the weekend, finishing with great results. As a result of their finish in this weekend's show, two Wolves riders earned enough points to move into new divisions for the year's remaining competitions.

Senior team co-captain Ashaunti Samms earned enough points to join teammates Caroline Thompson and Cassity Boothe in the Novice division for the remainder of the year as a result of her fourth place finish in the Advanced walk/trot/canter division this weekend. Samms' finish also qualified her for this year's Regional Finals.

Sophomore Anna Latimer pointed up from the Beginner walk/trot/canter division into the Advanced walk/trot/canter division as a result of her third place finish this weekend. Senior Yuting Bai gave a beautiful ride for a third place finish in the Walk/Trot division, while freshman Catherenne Hogeland earned a sixth place ribbon in the Advanced walk/trot/canter division.

The hunt seat team will show at home this Sunday before travelling to College of Charleston on November 19 to close out the fall season.
