Wolves Open Western Season at University of Florida

MACON, GA - The Wesleyan College Wolves Western team showed at the University of Florida on Dec. 2. This year the western team has joined with the Florida region and is excited to face new teams in competition as well as ride in new venues. This year's team is relying heavily on newcomers to the western side but each of the newcomers opened this season with beautiful rides. Returners like sophomore, Catherenne Hogeland, finished first place in the Intermediate Horsemanship division to give Wesleyan a great debut to the season.

Notables: 

-Sophomore Catherenne Hogeland took first place in the Intermediate Horsemanship division during her western debut this weekend.
 
-Freshman Charlotte Reagor made her collegiate showing debut in the Walk/Jog Division with a fifth place finish.
 
-Returner Maria Randall finished the day with a fifth and sixth place finish in the Walk/Jog division.
 
Coach's Remarks:
 
"I am very proud of our western team for adjusting so well to our new region and really stepping up to the challenge of riding new horses. Each of our riders has been working really hard and I am excited to see their hard work continue to pay off in the arena," remarks Coach Denniston.
