The Wesleyan College Equestrian Hunt Seat Team competed at the Georgia Southern University Fall Show on Sunday.

Sophomore Alison Stout placed 4th on the day while Junior Catherine Hogeland placed 5th place.

Head Coach Catherine Baker commented on her first competition, one week into her appointment: "Very proud of the equestrian team! Kennedy Nicholson pulled a tough draw at her first IHSA show. We had a great plan for 'the diminutive fire breathing dragon' but her total focus unfortunately let her enter the ring without her back number, an automatic elimination. I am still proud of how Kennedy handled it; she proved she is a real team member helping out other riders out."

Baker added: "Caty rode well, seeing her as the first rider to get the right lead canter on a total leftie (which all riders before Caty struggled with). Alison also gave her horse a solid ride, seeing how she was the forth rider on the horse."
