Wesleyan Equestrian Opens IDA Dressage in FSU with Reserve Champion High Point Finish

Macon, GA-  The Wesleyan College Equestrian team opened their season this weekend in Havana, FL at the FSU IDA Dressage Show. Leaving Sunday as the reserve champion high point Dressage team. 

 

On Saturday Wolves Sophomore Olivia Troyer excelled finishing 5th in her Intro Level Test and 1st in the Intro Level Dressage Seat Equitation. Senior Josie Scordato had a strong showing placing 3rd in her Upper Level Test and 2nd in her Upper Level Dressage Seat Equitation. On Sunday the Wolves took the show with 7 riders placing in their respective events, including 3 blue ribbons! Highlighting the big Sunday were Sophomores Alma Sheputa and Sydney Echols, and Senior Scordato who all placed first in their respective events, while Sophomore Nieve Leyne just missed the blue ribbon finishing 2nd in her First Level Dressage Seat Equitation class. The Wolves received the second highest overall team score to finish Sunday as the Reserve Champion High Point Dressage Team.

 

 The Equestrian team will be back on the road riding in the IHSA at Highfields in Aiken, South Carolina on September 30th & October 1st.

Nieve Leyne placed 6th in her First Level Dressage Test and 5th in her First Level Dressage Seat Equitation.

Josie Scordato placed in her Upper Level Test at 3rd place and in her Upper Level Dressage Seat Equitation she placed 2nd.

Alma Sheputa placed in her Lower Training Level Test in 4th place. She earned another 4th place in her Dressage Seat Equitation Class

Olivia Troyer placed 5th in her Intro Level Test and 1st in the Intro Level Dressage Seat Equitation

Daebreon Buie placed 4th in both her Upper Level Dressage Test and her Upper Level Dressage Seat Equitation Class

Emily Evans placed 2nd in her Lower Training Level Dressage Test! She also placed 5th in her Lower Training Level Dressage Seat Equitation Class

Sydney Echols placed 4th in her Intro Level Dressage Test and 3rd in her Intro Level Dressage Seat Equitation Class
