The Wolves fell short on 4 hits leaving 4 on base in the first of 2 games on Saturday afternoon. Savanna Boyette recorded 2 hits while the other 2 went to Victoria Clower and Yasnei Llavore. Llavore also knocked in the only run of the game. Valerie Clower takes the loss on the mound allowing 4 runs on 4 hits, 4 errors and 4 walks. Clower also recorded 3 strikeouts in 3 innings pitched.
A 5th inning lead was not enough to take down the Division II Wildcats in the later game. Fort Valley crossed the plate with 8 on 7 hits, 4 walks and 6 errors giving Clower her second loss of the day. Boyette got her 3rd and 4th hit of the day while Hannah Allen and Alana Walker both had a hit and RBI each giving the wolves 4 hits again in the 2nd game. The offense struggled as 9 runners were left on base. The Wolves will meet Fort Valley State University again this season on March 21st at 3 and 5.
