Softball Falls Twice to Huntingdon, Despite 7th inning Lead in Nightcap

Macon, GA

 

Huntingdon pitching shines, holding the Wolves to only 4 hits in the first of 2 conference losses. 3 of 4 of those hits came from Freshman, Hannah Allen. Huntingdon crossed 8 runs on 12 hits, 2 errors and 4 walks. Abby Sparrow takes the loss on the mound while Lindsey Selph of Huntingdon improves to 4-6.

 

Game 2 turned out to be a real heartbreaker as the Wolves had a 6-5 lead going in to the 7th inning. 1 run proved to be not enough as the Hawks crossed 3 runs in the top of the 7th. Allen knocked 3 more hits on the day while Alana Walker and Victoria Clower both had 2 RBI's on 1 hit each. Shelby Crosby suffers the loss with a record of 2-6. Selph imrpoves to 5-6 with the win.
