Kassidy Hulett takes defensive position

RALEIGH, North Carolina - Wesleyan was working with an 0-1 deficit for the first four innings of the opening game against William Peace on Saturday. Then Yasnei Llavore stepped to the plate and delivered a solo equalizer homerun over the left center field fence. The Wolves would go on to take a 2-1 lead when Brianna Collender singled to left, driving in Kassidy Hulett, and they would extend that lead to 4-1 off an Alicia Ramirez single that drove in both Hulett and Emilee Stevenson. In the final inning with two outs on the board the game was seemingly in hand for Wesleyan, but William Peace would go on to manufacture a game-winning four run rally.

Wesleyan would rebound in game two with a 7th inning rally of their own. Once again they would go down 0-1 in the first. Hulett would score on a sacrifice fly by Jillian Crosby to tie the game, but the Wolves would enter the final inning down 2-1.  A Savanna Boyette double drove in Megan Flurry, and a Valarie Ellis  hit would drive in Boyette for the winning run.
