WESLEYAN CLOSES THE REGULAR SEASON WITH A SPLIT

FORT VALLEY, Georgia - The Wolves closed out the 2018-2019 season on the road against Fort Valley State on Monday. After giving up three first inning runs in game one Wesleyan battled back to score seven unanswered. Jillian Crosby and Grace Farris both had 2 RBI's en route to a 7-3 opening victory. Savanna Boyette added two hits of her own as the Wolves tallied eleven total team hits. Jillian Crosby scored the win from the rubber, allowing no earned runs and striking out three. 

The Wolves fell in a hard fought game two by a score of 8-6. Farris continued to be productive at the plate with two more RBI's. Brianna Collender had two RBI's as well, but Marilynn Nesmith was the star of the game with four hits in four appearances to go along with two RBI's and a run scored.

This marks the end of Penny Siqueros' first campaign with her young team. Wesleyan softball now heads to the offseason where they will continue to train and regroup to prepare for the 2019-2020 season.
