The Wesleyan Athletics Department has continued with renovations to their softball complex again this off season. Last season, the player dugouts were renovated, the press box was totally enclosed, and a fresh coat of paint was added to many areas. During this phase, thanks to tremendous fundraising efforts by student athletes and the athletic's administration, major accomplishments have been made.

This season, the Wolves will be adding new back stop padding as well as extended dugouts to add room for players and gear. Visiting teams, along with the Wolves, will enjoy dugouts that will no longer be covered in chain link fence but will be covered with netting attached to padded bars that will allow for better viewing from the bench area. The dugout renovations will add approximately 5 feet of extra width to each as well.

Probably the most recognizable addition as you make your way to the athletic complex is the brand new scoreboard that has been installed. For several years, the Wolves have utilized an older model recreation league style scoreboard that was outdated. The new scoreboard is much larger featuring a nine inning display, team name display, all LED lighting, and the Wolves logo.

Head Coach Penny Siqueiros is very excited about the progress being made. "We have made great strides in making our facilities much more collegial than they have been in the past. Thanks to an awesome fundraising campaign, we were able to purchase and install possibly one of the best looking scoreboards in our Conference. We have made a place for our student athletes to be proud to show off to their families, friends, and recruits. We even thought of the visiting teams during this process and they will get to enjoy larger dugouts as well. We cannot wait to show it off in our home opener February 15," Coach Siqueiros said of the improvements.
