Softball Splits with Belhaven to Open the Season

The Wolves opened their softball season today with a home double header against Belhaven. The stands were full as over 120 came out to open the season with the team. Junior pitcher Kimmy Dick pitched a no-hitter through the first three innings and only allowed two hits on the game to go along with her seven strikeouts in game one.Freshman Savannah Pollock lead the offense in the first game by going 4-4 at the plate with one RBI. 

Sophomore Mackenzie Hooker would get the start in the circle for game two where the Blazers of Belhaven would capitalize on six hits and the Wolves' six errors. The Wolves were held hitless in game two as well. 

The Wolves are back in action Tuesday as they travel to Cochran, GA., to take on the Knights of Middle Georgia.
