Wolves Softball Starts Conference Play With Win
RECAP
It was a tough four-game weekend road trip to Montgomery, Alabama where Wesleyan took on the Huntingdon Hawks.  The Wolves started out well by splitting the Saturday doubleheader, winning 6-4 before losing 3-2.  On Sunday, the Wolves' problems on defense resurfaced as 6 errors led to 8 unearned runs.  Over the span of the four games, of the 21 runs scored by the Hawks, 11 were unearned.

BATTING HIGHLIGHTS
At the plate, the top three hitters in the Wolves lineup enjoyed a productive series.  Second baseman Kassidy Hulett, batting leadoff, catcher Ashleigh Woods and third baseman Madison Powell, over the course of the four games, produced as follows:
Kassidy Hulett went 5 for 13, with a run scored and 2 RBI.
Ashleigh Woods went 5 for 12, with a run scored.
Madison Powell went 3 for 14, with an RBI.

PITCHING HIGHLIGHTS
Once again, right-hander Kimberly Dick proved to be the most effective in the circle.  Kimberly pitched in three games, coming on in relief in both Saturday games and starting the final game of the series on Sunday.  In the 3 games, Kimmie compiled the following stats: 12 2/3 innings pitched, yielding but 10 hits, 3 earned runs and putting down 9 Hawks via strikeouts.

Lauran Allbritton pitched two innings in relief in Sunday's second game, yielding only a single hit, zero earned runs and striking out three.
