Softball Takes 3 out of 4 in Weekend Series Against Agnes Scott
 Greetings Wolf Nation,

RECAP
Over the weekend, the Wesleyan Wolves softball team played two home-and-away doubleheaders against the Agnes Scott Scotties.  Saturday's two games were played at Agnes Scott College in Decatur, while Sunday's doubleheader took place on the beautiful campus of Wesleyan College in Macon.  The Wolves came away with victories in three of the four games.  As can be seen, two of the games were nail biters and two were "no doubters."
Saturday
Game one: Wesleyan 11, Agnes Scott 1 (5 innings)
Game two: Agnes Scott 5, Wesleyan 4 (8 innings)
Sunday
Game one: Wesleyan 1, Agnes Scott 0
Game two: Wesleyan 13, Agnes Scott 5 (5 innings)

All four games were exciting and full of action!  There was enough to appeal to both the purists who prefer well-pitched, low-scoring games as well as to satisfy those fans who enjoy high-scoring games full of hits and runs.

BATTING HIGHLIGHTS
The Wolves' ample firepower was on full display as they out-scored the Scotties in the two double headers by a combined 29 runs to 11.
Virtually, the entire lineup contributed with their bats, led by DP/1B Madison Powell with 6 hits in 12 at bats.
Others who enjoyed good days at the plate:
Shortstop Kassidy Hulett, catcher Ashleigh Woods, left fielder/pitcher Lauran Allbritton and third baseman Tihana Zupanic who collected four hits apiece.
Center fielder Marilynn Nesmith, DP Presley Edwards and right fielder Emilee Stevenson all had three hits apiece.

FIELDING
The Wolves continued their steady improvement in the field as they committed but a single error in the four game series with Agnes Scott.  Well done, ladies.  Keep it up!

PITCHING HIGHLIGHTS
Once again, Kimberly Dick distinguished herself in the circle.  In the two games she pitched, she totaled 12 innings, allowing only a single run on 8 hits and 3 walks while striking out 12 Scotties.  Outstanding job, Kimmie!

LOOKING FORWARD
The Wolves hit the road on Wednesday, April 21st for a double header at LaGrange.  The games are scheduled for 1:00pm and 3:00pm.

TUNE IN FANS AND BACK THE PACK!
