Softball Defeats Clark Atlanta in Doubleheader Season Opener

MACON, Ga -- Following a strong 2020-21 season, Wesleyan softball returned to the field this evening to take on Clark Atlanta. With a strong veteran presence and promising freshman class, the Wolves defeated the Panthers in both games with a score of 14-3 in the first and 15-0 in the second giving the Wolves a solid start on their 2021-2022 season. 

Several Wolves stood out in today's games. Bailey Caldwell secured hers and the Wolves first homerun of the season, while Jendayi Wright, Bailey Caldwell, Presly Edwards, and Janae Rookard were each credited with 3 RBI's on the day.

"These ladies had an overall great team performance today. We're all still getting to know each other and building that chemistry but the first game jitters are out and we're moving in the right direction. We're gonna continue to get better everyday and I believe we'll have something special.", says Wolves first year Head Coach Brady Tigert. 

Wesleyan is currently 2-0.

Wesleyan will host Ohio Christian in a home doubleheader on February 14 at 3PM and 5PM.
