Wolves Basketball Falls to Brevard

Macon, GA - USA South newcomer Brevard College jumped out to an early lead and the Wesleyan College basketball team could not close the gap, falling 61-41 on Friday evening.

Notables:

  • Forward Lexie Russell recorded her third double-double in four games, scoring 10 points while pulling down 13 rebounds.
  • Guard TK Blount stuffed the stat line with 11 points, six rebounds, and eight steals in 39 minutes of action.
  • The Wolves struggles at the free throw line continued on Friday night, as they shot 39% from the charity stripe.

Quotable:
Wesleyan head coach Nicky DiMarzio remarked, "We were really up and down tonight. We cut the lead to eight in the second half before losing steam. Offensively, we struggled to put the ball in the hoop and were plagued with foul trouble. We need to get better looks at the hoop, and defensively, we need to stick to our game plan for 40 minutes."
