Sewanee, TN - Upon starting the new year, Wolves couldn't quite find the answer to collect the victory against their opponents of The University of the South. Trailing behind at half-time with a score of 44-29, it was a struggle for the wolves to keep up offensively causing a gap between seeing the other side of victory. 

Notables: 

•Leading scorers for Sewanee #22 Sophomore Forward Allison Hitchcock with 19 points, four rebounds and one assist along with Senior guard #1 Hannah McCormack with 17 points, three rebounds and two assist

•Sewanee Tigers out rebound the Wolves 45-29 with 47% FG

•Junior guard #4 Taylor Thigpen and Sophomore guard #20 TK Blount both help lead the Wolves while both mimicking contributions of 15 points and five rebounds each. Senior forward #42 Alexis Russell lead the pack in rebounds with a total collection of 8 and contributing seven points. 

•In addition, Blount packed the stat line with six rebounds, five assists and five steals in her 34 minutes of action on the floor shooting at 53.8%

•Thigpen also recorded five assists

"Mental mistakes did us in but it is time to learn quickly from this and take on Judson at home on Thursday."

Wesleyan will face off against Judson who the wolves beat two consecutive times in last years season.
