A slow start for Coach Herring's young program culminated in a 27 point halftime deficit from which they were unable to recover. Freshman guard Diedre Maxwell led the way for Wesleyan with 13 ponts while making seven of nine free throw attempts.
After the game Coach Herring said, "Tonight we learned a little bit about ourselves. We played hard and didn't quit tonight. The next couple of practices we need to focus on boxing out and then trying a few different wrinkles with what we've been doing. I was proud of the way Maxwell played tonight. We have to keep pushing and getting better each and every day."
The Wolves face Roanoke on the road this Saturday in the Jean Beamer Tip Off Classic. Game time is 6:00 PM.
