The Wolves showed flashes of improvment on Monday night as Xiana Jackson and Diedre Maxwell both turned in double figure scoring performances. Jackson also had seven steals, while Alexandria Neal grabbed 14 rebounds to go along with 8 points, but the shooting woes continued for Wesleyan as they shot just 27.1 percent from the field including 0-11 fromr three point range.
First year Head Coach Kyle Herring said this after the game, "I was happy to see Jackson be more aggressive on offense. She needs to make more of her shots but she was more aggressive. We missed so many shots at point blank range, to easily have won this game. We have to continue to get better. Small steps. Small steps."
The Wolves will try to do just that on Wednesday night, 12/5/18, at 6:00 PM when they visit Piedmont College.
