Macon, GA- The Wesleyan College Athletics department has grown once again with the appointment of Lauren "Coach Cocoa" Falohun as head basketball coach for the  23-24 Wolves.

"I love coaching and being able to show athletes what it truly takes to take things to another level and what that looks like," says Falohun. "I take pride in leading by example and being able to empower my athletes to push to heights that they didn't know they could reach. I love teaching them about the true meaning of being resilient in life. What matters is how you showed up, worked with excellence, and had a great attitude through the process - that's what will take you furthest in life!"

Lauren comes to Wesleyan with 13 years of experience coaching both women's and men's basketball at every level of the NCAA, with time in the NJCAA and at high school programs as well. She brings with her a plethora of basketball and overall strength and conditioning knowledge from her time coaching and career playing at the University of South Carolina, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Sports and Entertainment Management in 2010.

"I love the energy and support from everyone on campus," Said coach Cocoa. "From President Blight, to people in administration, to the people in athletics, everyone on campus is excited about the athletics program and willing to work together to help us all succeed! I'm excited about building a program and establishing a culture that the athletes, people on campus, and the community can be proud of!"
