Montgomery, AL - Less than 24 hours after defeating Judson, the Wesleyan College soccer team opened its conference season with a 5-0 loss at Huntingdon College on Saturday afternoon. The quick turnaround coupled with nagging injuries proved to be too much for the Wolves to overcome.
Notables:
- The Hawks defense cracked down on what has been an efficient Wesleyan offense, holding the Wolves to just one shot in the match.
- Carlee Dykes had by far the most shots faced this season in tonight's match and recorded four saves.
Quotable:
Wesleyan head coach Ian Doherty stated, "This is a very disappointing result for us. We need to learn from this and bounce back next weekend."
