Wolves Soccer Dominates in Win vs. Berea

Macon, GA - Less than 24 hours after a hard fought double overtime tie on Saturday afternoon, the Wesleyan College soccer team returned to the pitch in dominating fashion, defeating USA South newcomers Berea College by a score of 4-1.

Notables:

  • Freshman Fetlework Blitch continued her outstanding weekend of play by putting the Wolves up early with a goal in the 14th minute of the match. This was her seventh goal of the season, which puts her in ninth place in goals scored in the USA South.
  • Sophomore Whitney Flanter and freshman Nadia Al-Shahabi each recorded their first goal of the season in today's match.
  • Senior Katie Tanner capped off the Wolves scoring effort with her ninth goal of the season, tying her for fourth in goals scored in the USA South. Newcomer Kourtney Mydlowski picked up her first assist of the season on Tanner's goal.
