Demorest, GA - The Wesleyan College soccer team got off to a slow start at Piedmont College and paid the price with a 4-0 loss to the Lions on Saturday afternoon.
Notables:
- Piedmont struck early and often, scoring goals in the 7th, 16th and 26th minutes of the first half.
- Still battling injuries, the Wolves were forced to play six athletes for the entire 90 minutes, while the Lions rotated 26 players into the game.

"We had a tough first half, but we improved as the match progressed," remarked Wesleyan head coach Ian Doherty. "I was proud of our effort in the second half and thought we created a few chances."
