Macon, GA - The Wesleyan College soccer team has earned its first ever bid to the USA South Conference Championship. They will face the #3 seed Covenant College in Lookout Mountain, GA, on Wednesday, October 25 at 4:00pm. The Wolves earned the #6 seed in the West Division with a conference record of 2-4-1.
In their only matchup this season, which occurred this past weekend, the Wolves fell 4-0 to the Scots while playing with a limited roster due to injuries.
The winner of Wednesday's match will travel to #2 seed Piedmont College on Saturday, October 28 for a 6:00pm match.
First year head coach Ian Doherty remarked, "We're really excited that we have qualified for the USA South Conference tournament for the first time in our women's soccer program history. We are going up to Covenant on Wednesday and we're realy excited to play them. Hopefully, we'll be coming back with a victory and we'll continue this great season that we've had so far."
