The Wesleyan Wolves soccer program fell to Rowan University of New Jersey by a 10-0 decision at the Pfeiffer Women's Soccer Tournament on Friday.

It took no time for Rowan to get on the board against the Wolves, scoring two quick goals in the 7th & 9th minute of the match coming off the feet of Darah Wagner (Rowan) and Abby Daigle (Rowan). The Profs quickly sloted 3 more goals in the 17th, 28th, and 30th minute of the match to put Rowan at 5-0 at halftime from Aidan Sheehan (Rowan), Megan McKinley (Rowan), & Caitlyn Cordell (Rowan). In the 2nd half, Rowan extended the scoreline with goals in the 58th minute by Jessica Beck (Rowan), 70th minute by Bethany Sansone (Rowan), 72nd minute by Jessica Logan (Rowan), and the 79th & 84th minute by Dominque Marrone (Rowan). The loss puts the Wesleyan Wolves at 0-2-0 for the season.

After the match, Head Coach Don Tees commented "Mindset and bounce back. The ladies and I discussed this after the match on Friday. We all grew positively from this match despite the score. The scoreline is something that will haunt us all and that's a result we have to throw away and bounce back for Sunday at Pfeiffer. I still believe in this program, but we have to all start to buy-in fully for the program to move forward positively"

The Wolves look towards bouncing back on September 9th in North Carolina as they play Pfeiffer in the Pfeiffer University Women's Soccer Tournament. The match is set for 1:00pm EST.
