The Wesleyan Wolves soccer program dropped a match Wednesday afternoon to visiting Mississippi University for Women (MUW) by a score of 3-0.
The Owls from Columbus, Mississippi scored 3 goals in the 9th, 48th, & 64th minute, securing MUW's first women's soccer win since reestablishing their athletic department in 2017.
Freshmen Audrey Mecklenburg led the Wolves with 2 shots.
Head Coach Don Tees declined to comment after the match.
The Wolves travel to Montgomery, Alabama again this weekend as they face Huntingdon College in a USA South Athletic Conference showdown on September 22nd. The match is slated for a 2:00pm CT kickoff. The Wesleyan Wolves will again be representing United Soccer Coaches Play with Pride Week, sporting gifted shoe laces from the organization.
