Wolves Take the Loss at Tennessee Wesleyan

The Wesleyan Wolves traveled to Athens, Tn. today to face the Bulldogs of Tennessee Wesleyan. The Wolves defense played a very strong game only allowing thirteen (13) shots on goal, however the Wesleyan goalies would allow six (6) of those shots in for a final score of 6-0. After the game, Head Coach Seth Semones was disappointed in the outcome of this past week finishing the week with a record of 0-3 and being outscored 18-0.

"Today was a strange day. We started well and carried our energy through the first ten minutes in dominating form. As we progress through the season, we have got to begin eliminating the silly errors. We tend to gift our adversaries with opportunities and we just cannot keep doing that. If we can begin to conduct ourselves in a way that is Wesleyan Soccer and clean up the imperfections and errors; then we will have a positive future ahead of us the remainder of the year, " Coach Semones said. The "silly errors" have truly been a thorn in the side of Coach Semones and his Pack this season. Even with a very talented squad, the Wolves have only taken 27 shots on goal this season with an average of 1.40 shots per game.

The Wolves look to bounce back from this tough week with a game on the road on Tuesday, September 17th at Birmingham Southern. That game can be seen through live video by following the link on the schedule page.
