Seth Berkebile Appointed  Athletic Director For 2023/24 Season

Macon, GA- Wesleyan College President Meaghan Blight has announced that interim Athletic Director Seth Berkebile has been appointed to the position for the 2023/24 season.

"Seth's experience as a coach, recruiting teams, and his passion for our school will give our athletics department the consistency it needs to ensure our athletes and coaches are prepared for a winning season," said President Blight. 

Berkebile, a 2016 graduate of Georgia Southern University and resident of Forsyth GA, has served on the Wesleyan College Soccer coaching staff since 2019, taking over the role of head coach in 2021.

"I am thrilled at the opportunity to serve as the Athletic Director at Wesleyan College," said Berkebile. "Since joining the Wesleyan team, I have loved being a part of this school and working to see the advancement of women in sports.

"Thank you to President Blight and the rest of the Administration for giving me the opportunity to lead. I also want to thank my wife, Amy, who has supported me through long workdays and endless weekends at games."

Berkebile's appointment rounds out a series of strategic hires in the Wesleyan atheltics department that best positions the Wolves for success in the coming season. The Wolves recently added Stewart Bowers as Head Athletic Trainer, Ryan Bliss as Head Softball Coach, and Ava Falcon as Head Equestrian Coach.

"With this team, I am confident we are well-positioned to provide the support our athletes need to grow and perform," said Berkebile. "I truly believe in the mission of Wesleyan and know that through sport we can accelerate equality for women. This is my passion and I look forward to leading our coaches and players through this journey."
