Wolves Fall To Tornadoes in Talladega

Macon, GA- The Wolves Soccer team traveled to Talladega, AL to tango with the Tornadoes of Talladega College in a non conference matchup ultimately dropping the matchup by a final fo 4-1. 

 

The Wolves started strong with Angel Lockett proving stout in goal once again saving shot after shot to keep the game knotted at 0-0. In the 16th minute of play the Wolves offense was able to break through and Amber Whitten connected with Freshman Toni Rogers who was able to find the back of the net for the first goal of her young college career. The Wolves defense played tough, and Wesleyan would go into the half riding a 1-0 lead. 

 

2 minutes after the break Talladega was able to find a hole in the Wolves defense and score their first goal evening up the match 1-1. They would take the lead 5 minutes later, and add 2 more goals across the final 30 minutes of game time to take the match 4-1. 

 

The Wolves will be right back on the field September 10th as they take on Oakwood starting at 1:00PM.
