Wolves Lose Conference Opener

Wolves Lose Conference Opener

MACON, GA - The Wolves tennis team opened their Conference schedule today with a home match against Covenant College. Coming off several days without practice due to inclement weather, the Wolves looked to capitalize on their prior match successes this season to help pull them through. The wind was blistery during the entire match and the ball flew a little different today which was a struggle for both teams at times.

"The team looked very flat today coming off of some days off due to rain. It has been hard to get into a good rhythm this season with the heavy rain days and whatnot. I am proud of the players today for fighting through some adverse conditions. We have to play harder at times like this. Hopefully our roster learned from today and will continue to push through the season. Covenant has a very strong team this season so we knew today would be a tough go at it. We look forward to our matches in a few weeks and piecing together a good run the remainder of the year," Coach Semones said of his team's performance today.

The Wolves are back in action on March 19 against Salem College.
