Track and Field Make History Placing Second Place This Week

The Wolves Track program traveled to Brunswick, Georgia this weekend to compete in the Golden Isles Relay. The team brought home several accolades on the day that would ultimately lead to an overall second place finish. The team placed 2nd in the 4X100 relay; 1st and 2nd in the 400M dash; 3rd in the 800M; and each runner placed in the top 10 of the 100M.

Head Coach William Ayears has been working with the team relentlessly to get their times down; working on running techniques and forms. The school currently does not have its own track and the team uses different flat locations throughout the campus to train. A second place finish is not only a very reputable finish for a first year program, but it speaks soley to the work ethic and toughness of the student-athletes and coaches at Wesleyan College.

Coach Ayears looks forward to a few days of rest before starting preparations for the Mobile Invitational April 17th.
