Track Places 5th at LC Celebration Invitational. School Records Continue to Fall
School records are lowered and the Wolves confidence is getting stronger.

Wesleyan first year track and field program is gaining momentum. Imani Higginbotham,  Kaitlyn Bennett and Annmary Melendez-Acres scored a team total 13pts at the LC Celebrational Invitational meet at Savannah State University Friday afternoon. Each athlete competed in their last nonconference meet in 100m and  200m sprints. Higginbotham broke the tape and lowered the school record in the 200m clocking a 28.45 seconds, 6th place finish, Bennett 8th place (29.79), and Melendez-Acres 9th place (30.49).  Higginbotham placed 4th in 100m (13.88), Bennett 6th (14.46), and Melendez-Acres 8th (15.12).

The Wolves are small in numbers, but big at heart. Coach Ayears and the all freshman team of Imani Higginbotham,  Annmary Melendez-Acres, Kaitlyn Bennett, Erinn Prowell and Aliyah Green will travel to Berea, KY April 28-29 for the USA South Track and Field Championships. Go Wolves!
