Macon, GA- This past weekend, Wesleyan’s Track and Field Team competed at the first ever Collegiate Conference of the South Championship at Belhaven University in Jackson, Mississippi. The team was led by senior Isabelle Beach, Isabella made the finals in the hammer and disc throw, placing 8th and 9th in those events  while setting new personal bests as well as school records, throwing 34.03 meters in the hammer throw and 28.48 meters in the disc throw. Personal bests were achieved all around as junior Imani Higginbotham competed in the 100,200,400 and Junior Anmary Melendez competing in the 200,400,800. Sophomores Bethany Hayes and Daisy Daniels both recorded personal bests in their events. First year throwers Annabeth Lee, Lillian Bennett and Abigail Young all achieved personal bests in their throws as well.
