MACON, GA -- After falling short in their first match of the day against Maryville College, the Wolves were determined to come back stronger and secure a conference win on the day.
The match against the Scotties started out a little slow with both teams going point for point. The Wolves decided they needed to find their pace quickly to take the set.
They came back in the second set and kept the momentum to take a strong lead and keep their errors at a minimum. Agnes continued their fight in the third set to attempt to make it a five set game, keeping the Wolves on their toes. However, the Wolves decided this will be their game and ultimately finished strong to take the win.
"I am proud of how we played against Agnes Scott. We had a solid back row contributing to helping us run an effective offense. Lativa Ray had a strong performance with 9 kills and a .533 hitting percentage on the night. I believe this win will give us the push we need to finish our season strong, hopefully we will keep this momentum", said Head Coach Malae Fiaseu.
The Wolves will head to Montgomery, Alabama tomorrow to take on Huntingdon College in another conference match up at 7PM.
