Wolves Can't Keep Up With WIldcats

Macon, GA- The Wesleyan volleyball team traveled to Fort Valley State University to take on the Wildcats in a non conference matchup dropping the match 3 sets to 1. Leading the Wolves was Senior Brittany Davis who accumulated 9 total points consisting of 8 kills and 2 block assists. Camille Duncan had her best match of the season recording 20 digs from the libero position while Pippa Tilley and Trinity Jackson worked as setters handing out 9 and 8 assists respectively. 


Fort Valley managed to take a 2-0 lead winning set 1 and set 2 by finals of 25-21 and 25-16 before winning the 3rd set 25-19 pushing the Wildcats to a 4th set. The WIldcats had a 2-1 lead when Senior Sharon Inno-Dike recorded a service ace for 1 of her 5 points on the night, and  Breya Cobb and Jaylyn Randle combined for 3 straight blocks at the net to help the Wolves to a 7-2 lead that they would hold for the rest of the set. Fort Valley finished the job in the 4th set winning by a final of 25-19 to take the match 3-1. 

 

The Wolves will be back in action as they take on Maryville College and Huntingdon College in a CCS trimatch at Huntingdon College on Saturday September 30th with the matches starting at 3:00pm and 5:00pm.
