Catherine Baker was hired as the Head Equestrian Coach at Wesleyan College in September of 2018.
In addition to her duties with the Equestrian Team, Baker serves as a Community Lessons Instructor, the Nancy Ellis Knox Equestrian Center Coordinator and the Senior Associate Athletic Director at Wesleyan.
Under her tutelege Wesleyan's Equestrian Team qualified two riders for Regionals in Hunt Seat and one rider for Regionals in Western (Fall 2018). The team boasts several first place rides in both Hunt Seat and Western from the Fall 2018 Season IHSA Shows in GA, SC, and FL, and there are two more riders who are on target to qualify for Regionals in March 2019.
Coach Baker earned her BS in Biology from St. Edwards University in Austin, Texas, and she went to earn an MBA from the University of Arkansas as well as an M.ED. from Texas A&M University.
