Wolves Split With Fort Valley

MacKenzie Hooker notched her second win of the season against Fort Valley on Friday allowing just 2 earned runs in 7 innings of work. Kiarra Binns went 2 for 3 at the plate with an RBI, a run scored, and a stolen base. Savanna Boyette also went 2 for 3 while Yasnei Llavore and Brianna Collender both added two RBI's of their own. Emilee Stevenson kept her early season run scoring streak going as she crossed the plate twice helping the Wolves to a 7-2 victory in the first game of the double header. 

Wesleyan's bats cooled of in the second contest just as Fort Valley was heating up. Brianna Collender was the most notable exception for the Wolves in game 2 as she went 2 for 3 with 2 runs scored and 2 RBI's. Jillian Crosby also did her part with 3 RBI's, but 4 errors in the field and 5 earned runs ultimately cost Welseyan the game. Fortt Valley had 15 hits to Wesleyan's 6 which led to a final score final score of 11-6. 

Welseyan's record now stands at 3-1, and with Sunday's games at Meredith postponed they will take the field again on Thursday when they host Southern Wesleyan. Game times are at 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM.
