MACON, Georgia - Wesleyan jumped out to an early 5-0 lead in the first inning of Wednesday's home double header against Rochester (NY), and they never looked back. Alicia RamirezYasnei LlavoreValarie EllisSavanna Boyette, and Marilynn Nesmith all had two hits a piece. Nesmith led the team with two RBI's and Boyette scored twice. The Wolves won the first game 7-2 with pitcher MacKenzie Hooker scoring the win.

The second game was a different story. Six fielding errors plagued Wesleyan as they only mustered six hits compared to twelve in game one. Ramirez and Llavore both continued to produce offensively delivering two hits a piece with Wesleyan's only run of the game coming off a Llavore homer. Rochester's four runs were more than enough to take the second game.

Quotes

Head Coach Penny Siqueros spoke after the game saying, "Wow what a wonderful set of games our players played against a very well established Rochester program. We came out firing in game one and then battled in the rubber match in game two.  So proud of our two pitchers, they threw incredibly well. Progress is made everyday with this group! Can't wait for our next double header! Having loads of fun!"
