Wolves Go to Overtime Against Brevard

If you missed the basketball game tonight between the Wesleyan Wolves and Brevard Tornados, you missed one of the best games of the season in the USA South. The Wolves came out this evening very hungry for their first win. Brevard came into the night looking for another Conference win to help them move up in the ranks. After the first quarter, the Wolves were down by two and the energy at Titans Arena was incredible. The Wolves continued to feed off the energy going into halftime down only by four. The Wolves outscored Brevard 7-10 in the third quarter and 16-14 in the fourth quarter which lead to the Wolves' first overtime for the season. The Tornados would capitalize on depth and inexperience to capture the win.

The offense was lead by Freshman Davina Brown with 15 points followed by Aubry Maulden with 9. The Wolves' bench outscored Brevard 31-8. After the defense's 19 steals, the Wolves scored 19 points off of turnovers. Leading the team's total 34 rebounds on the night was Ta'Liyah Slocumb with 9 defensive rebounds.

The Wolves will be back in action on Sunday afternoon when they play Berea College at 1PM at home.
