Wesleyan Battles Hard but Falls to Huntingdon in Second-to-Last Game of the Season

The Wesleyan Wolves fought with heart and determination but ultimately fell to Huntingdon 91-46 in their second-to-last game of the season. Despite the final score, the Wolves showed resilience and flashes of strong play, sticking with Huntingdon early before the Hawks pulled away in the second half.

Zariah Davis was a force on both ends of the floor, recording a dominant double-double with 22 points and 13 rebounds. She continuously attacked the rim and provided a much-needed spark for Wesleyan's offense. Jatayah Bryant and Anderia Jackson played key roles in the paint, combining for 12 rebounds and crucial defensive stops, while Kalynn Smith brought energy off the bench with 5 points and 2 boards.

Key Performers for Wesleyan:

The Wolves came out battling in the first quarter, keeping Huntingdon within reach at 19-8, and made a push in the third quarter behind a 7-0 scoring run to cut into the deficit. Wesleyan's defense forced 12 turnovers and grabbed 43 rebounds, out-rebounding Huntingdon by seven on the glass.

However, cold shooting proved to be a challenge as the Wolves connected on just 25.9% of their shots and 7.7% from three-point range. Free throw struggles (15-29, 51.7%) also prevented them from gaining momentum.
