Wolves Take Out the Fighting Squirrels!

Coming into the Friday night match, the Wolves have been outscored 23-1 in the past two weeks of the season all on the road. The Wolves were excited to be back on their own Panoz Field under the lights and the energy showed from the start. The Wolves showed great ball movement and skill taking the first goal within the ninth (9th) minute off the foot of Kelly Matthews assisted by Freshmen Alyssa Key and Madison Whitehead. It did not take long for Freshman Thi Soe to get in on the action scoring the Wolves' second goal in the sixteenth (16th) minute.

After the half, Mary Baldwin would answer with their own goal to bring the score to 2-1 in the fifty-eighth (58th) minute of the game. The Wolves did not faulter. The energy seemed to continue. Something that has been lacking in the second half lately. You could almost feel it in the air. Freshman Alyssa Key would score the final and eventual game winning score for the Wolves in the sixty-fourth (64th) minute.

Senior Carlee Dykes added ten more saves on the evening bringing her to a USA South Conference leading 84 saves on the season.

The Wolves will be back in action again at home against Oglethorpe this Sunday. That match is set to start at 5:00PM at Panoz Field.
