Wolves Fall to Maryville

Wolves Fall to Maryville

The Wesleyan Wolves traveled to Maryville, TN., this weekend to face the Scots of Maryville College. The Wolves went into the weekend looking for a very tough match against a top Conference opponent. The very skilled Maryville defense only allowed one shot on goal by the Wolves during the match while the Scots were able to shoot 18 on goal. Senior Carlee Dykes increased her incredible save numbers on the year by adding eleven saves to her total.

"We knew going into Conference play that our first two oppoenents were some of the best of the best. We accept that. We have learned from these games and have come out better by having these tough matches on the early part of the schedule. We look forward to maintaining control of our season destiny as we continue Conference play over the next two weeks with the next three games being at home", Coach Seth Semones said about the tough loss.

The Wolves find themselves in a great position to take down Conference opponents in the coming weeks with their next three games being all at home and all against Conference teams. The next game for the Wolves will be Tuesday, October 1, at 6:00PM versus Agnes Scott on Panoz Field.
