Macon, GA- The Wolves hosted the neighboring Wildcats from Fort Valley State University in their first home match of the 23 season, dropping the match up by a final of 3 sets to none. Freshman hitter Breya Cobb had her best night of the season leading the Wolves with 11.5 points including 8 kills and 3 blocks.
This match was much closer than the 3-0 final makes it look with the Wolves dropping two of the three sets by a combined 5 points. The lead bounced back and forth in both sets with neither team leading by more than 5 points the whole way. While Breya Cobb put on a show for the rowdy home crowd, other Wolves had solid performances as well. Senior hitter Sharon Inno-Dike added 6.5 more points to her season total, while Camille Duncan and Zaysharae Malia-Hughes did their part defensively with 8 and 7 digs respectively. The Wolves will be back on their home court in Porter Gymnasium this Thursday September 14th facing off against the Brewton Parker College Barons starting at 6:30PM.
